大陸今年實施二孩政策，盼能增加生育率，紓解社會老齡化問題；但教育學者推估，大陸將在2021年進入「後二孩時代」，屆時將缺少近11萬所幼稚園，幼兒教師需求也將超過380萬人，當前必須擴大培育學前師資專才，才能消弭幼教人才荒危機。

據《中國青年報》報導，依照西南大學教育政策研究所教授李玲的研究指出，在2016年因應二孩政策而出生的兒童，將在2019年滿3歲，符合學前教育入學年齡、可就讀幼稚園，學前教育需求也開始增加。

李玲分析，2016到2018年間，可就讀幼稚園的適齡幼兒維持在5200萬人左右；但2019年至2021年為止，人數將在3年間快速增多，預估2021年的幼兒人數約達6600萬人，正式進入「後二孩時代」，成為學前教育辦學壓力最大的一年。

伴隨學童數量成長快速，大陸當前的學前教育師資不足，若要滿足「後二孩時代」的幼稚園教師需求，專任教師數量必須從今年的271.79萬人，成長到2021年的383.39萬人，才能提供良好的學前教學品質。

此外，據大陸教育部統計，2014年共有20.99萬所幼稚園，與今年就學人數相比，學校尚不足1.66萬所；2021年需要的學校數量更高達31.95萬所，才可紓解就學需求，學校數量增加，也需要人才投入。李玲指出，培養幼兒師資，大學需4年、專科為3年，若要師資培育跟上學童成長速度，當前便需擴充大學培育教育人才，才有機會紓解教師缺額。
